Covid 19 Policy:
Update: 19th May 2023
Since the pandemic we have now returned to a more familiar class structure here at CCS.
Visitors are still encouraged to be vigilant and anyone who is symptomatic should stay home and avoid contact with others pas per Welsh Government advice.
Visitors are reminded to regularly wash/sanitise their hands and the Studio will continue to be thoroghly cleaned once a week alongside normal day to day cleaning.
Face masks are no longer a requirement, however anyone wishing to continue to wear a mask is very welcome to do so.
14th May 2022:
Following Wales recent move to “Alert Level 0” we will now be returning to a more familiar class structure here at CCS.
Please find our updated measures below, please read the following information carefully.
Reducing the chance of Covid 19 being present at Chapel Cottage Studio (CCS):
Visitors (students, tutors and clients) are encouraged to take regular lateral flow Covid 19 tests to ensure that you are not unknowingly introducing the virus to our facility.
How to get regular COVID-19 lateral flow tests to stop the spread of coronavirus.
We encourage all visitors to be fully vaccinated before attending a class or event with us.
Anyone who is symptomatic, has tested positive or is awaiting a test result or has been asked to self isolate is not permitted to enter CCS.
Preventing crowding:
As part of the move to “Alert level 0” social distancing is no longer a requirement and therefore our class numbers will revert to pre-covid regulations i.e. 12 students per class.
Visitors are still encouraged to maintain social distancing where possible and to avoid congregating at communal areas such as sinks, kettles etc
Ventilation:
We will enhance airflow and air circulation in the Studio by keeping doors and windows open where possible and practical.
There will be a break of at least 30 minutes between classes to allow the air in the Studio to refresh between groups of people.
Cleanliness:
Visitors to the Studio are reminded to wash / sanitise their hands frequently, particularly when entering / exiting the Studio and before and after using any communal facilities such as the bathroom, sinks or kettles.
Hand wash facilities are provided throughout the Studio.
We encourage visitors to keep to their own workspace where possible and to avoid sharing equipment. Use of studio equipment is permitted.
We will be carrying out stringent cleaning of all communal and touch point surfaces between every class (including surfaces, tables, door handles, sinks and taps, kettles, bathroom etc).
The Studio will be thoroughly cleaned by a professional cleaning company once a week on top of our regular cleaning as detailed above.
Administration of refreshments:
CCS will not be providing lunches, however students are welcome to bring along a packed lunch for full day / multiple day workshops, tea and coffee facilities continue to be available.
We encourage visitors to bring their own travel mugs and utensils with them, however use of the Studio crockery and cutlery is permitted. Studio crockery/cutlery should not be shared and anything you use must be placed in the dishwasher before you leave.
We encourage visitors to sanitise their hands before and after using communal facilities such as the kettle / coffee maker.
Reducing aerosol volume:
We encourage visitors to keep any music being played and general chatter to a low volume.
This avoids the need for anyone to raise their voice, shout or bring their faces close together in order to hear better and therefore reduces the risk of covid 19 being spread via increased aerosol volume.
Face masks:
Face coverings are no longer a requirement at Chapel Cottage Studio, though anyone wishing to continue to use a face covering is very welcome to do so.
Test, Trace and Protect:
We will be keeping records of attendance for all classes and workshops. This way we will be able to support the NHS Test, Trace and Protect system in the event of a visitor testing positive for the virus.
We would appreciate your support in this matter by :
- always booking your place ahead of the class and informing us if you are unable to attend
- ensuring that we have up to date contact details for you (either email or telephone)
Communication:
We will ensure that all visitors to the Studio are provided with details of how to minimise the risk of exposure to covid 19 at CCS.
We will do this by continuing to display our covid 19 policy clearly on our website along with a link to our risk assessment.
We will provide reminders for students to read our covid 19 policy and we will inform our database of contacts whenever we make any amendments or revisions to the policy.
We will ensure that we have clear signage around the Studio reminding visitors of our control measures e.g. regular hand washing etc.
We appreciate your co-operation in this matter.
