With incredible scenery, rich history and heritage plus a thriving food culture, it’s the perfect location to combine creative learning with a memorable short break.
If you’re planning to make a trip of it, Abergavenny also known as “The Gateway to Wales” is an ideal base for walking and cycling and is perfectly placed for exploring spectacular Castles like Abergavenny Castle & Museum, Raglan Castle and White Castle.
Also on our doorstep we have some amazing Industrial History with attractions such as Big Pit National Coal Museum and Blaenavon Iron Works (World Heritage Site) just a few miles away.
The iconic Abergavenny 3 peaks: Sugar Loaf, Skirrid and Blorenge are sure to delight walkers and why not explore some of the charming local towns and villages as well.

We are happy to offer basic overnight accommodation in our cosy Shepherds Hut which is situated next door to the Studio. Ideal for those who are visiting from further afield, the Shepherds Hut offers basic “glamping” type accommodation on site.

Crispin Cottage
Just 1/4 mile away from Chapel Cottage Studio in the village of Llanddewi Rhydderch, Crispin Cottage offers private cottage accommodation for 1-4 people with your own front door as well as a woodburner, kitchenette, shower room and 1 or 2 double rooms. Breakfast available.
The Old Stables at The Red Hart
